Bring your preschooler for a fun-filled half-hour of stories, songs, and fingerplays! This engaging storytime nurtures a love for reading and sparks creativity, making it an unforgettable experience for little ones.

Play and socialize during outdoor water play at the library! Weather permitting. We will meet in Meeting Room B if it is raining.

Stories, music, and activities for children ages 0-3 with and without special needs. Presented by the PGCPS Infants and Toddlers Program for their early intervention students and a limit of 12 community children. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the nature of the program, late entries will not be accepted after a five-minute grace period. Held in Large Meeting Room

Kids and teens ages 2 to 18 can enjoy a free lunch at these library branches while supplies last: Beltsville, Fairmount Heights, Glenarden, Hillcrest Heights, Hyattsville, New Carrollton, Oxon Hill, and Spauldings. Stop by for a quick bite!

Boost your child’s confidence by reading to friendly, trained therapy dogs! Whether they bring a favorite book or choose one from the library, each child gets 10–15 minutes of one-on-one reading time with a furry friend.

Make your own artwork using printed paper materials, images, favorite quotes, color, and pencil. Celebrate “America’s 250th year” creating artwork expressing your America. Materials provided and step by step instructions. You are welcome to bring your own supplies.
